Accounting Associate

LigTel Communications is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Associate to join our finance team and support the day-to-day operations that keep us running smoothly. In this role, you will maintain accurate financial records, assist with regulatory filings and reconciliations, and contribute to reporting and data analysis that informs key business decisions. The ideal candidate is collaborative and adaptable, with a willingness to cross-train across accounting functions including AP, payroll, billing, and inventory. Duties/Key Responsibilities:

CABS deposits Maintains ledgers and financial records in accordance with established guidelines and procedures. Understands and maintains confidentiality, internal accuracy and conformity with established accounting procedures Works closely with other members of the accounting department, is cross trained and able to perform other accounting duties as well. Includes materials, inventory balancing, and charge outs Assigns Work Orders and track progress. Works with management to close work order and assign to fixed asset system Assisting with and preparing data for regulatory filings Works with USAC, Lifeline, and School and Library programs for tracking and submitting invoices Cross-trained in preparing customer billings and monitoring monthly activity for unusual fluctuations Assisting with preparation of documentation for annual financial audits Deposit management Crossed trained in AP and payroll Various reconciliations, including bank, benefit programs, and prepaid accounts Reporting & Data Analysis Build and maintain reports to fulfill data requests Analyze and present financial and HR data in a clear, actionable format Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes and data accuracy

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required Associate degree in accounting or finance required, Bachelor's preferred Effectively use MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, and Company specific software programs related to job duties Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion Valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record

Pay:

$24.00 - $26.50 per hour
