SENIOR ACCOUNTANT

This Senior Accountant will play a key role in managing the monthly close process, preparing financial statements, and ensuring accuracy across general ledger accounts. Key Responsibilities Manage and perform month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations. Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules in accordance with GAAP. Maintain and reconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts. Review and analyze general ledger activity to ensure accuracy and consistency. Assist with budget preparation, forecasting, and variance analysis. Support internal and external audit requests and help maintain internal controls. Mentor junior accounting staff and assist in workflow management. Core Competencies Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA or pursuing CPA preferred. 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in manufacturing, distribution, or corporate accounting. Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, or similar). Thorough understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles. High attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and ability to meet deadlines. Professional communication and ability to collaborate across departments.
