Full Job Description Osceola United Methodist Church Osceola, Indiana Position:

Part-Time (20 hours per week)

Position Summary:

Osceola United Methodist Church is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Church Accountant/Bookkeeper to oversee the financial operations of the church. This position supports the Pastor and Finance Committee by maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring responsible stewardship of church resources.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Maintain accurate financial, payroll, and business records weekly Process invoices, issue checks, and manage accounts payable weekly Reconcile bank and investment accounts Prepare monthly financial reports and check listings Process bi-weekly payroll and required tax filings Prepare annual budget drafts Assist with annual audits and internal controls Attend Finance Committee, Church Council, and weekly staff meetings Provide general administrative support as needed Qualifications Associate degree in Accounting (required) Experience with fund-based accounting (nonprofit experience preferred) Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and QuickBooks Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to maintain confidentiality Must pass a criminal background and credit check Commitment to Christian faith and church values Benefits Flexible scheduling within a 20-hour work week Continuing education opportunities through the United Methodist Church How to Apply Please email your resume to: Applications will be reviewed as they are received.
