Job Title:

Cost Accountant The Cost Accountant will play a key role in supporting the business to achieve its financial objectives. This includes responsibility for product costing, month-end close, forecasting and annual planning, inventory valuation, and maintaining strong internal controls.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Supervise the Assistant Controller Ensure financial processes and systems are accurately maintained in line with company requirements Apply core accounting principles including accruals, allocations, debits, and credits Lead and manage the monthly close process Prepare and report financial statements (Balance Sheet, P&L, Cash Flow), providing clear insight into business performance Analyse and report on budget vs. actual performance, including KPIs, with recommendations for improvement Review SAP moving average costs vs. planned purchase prices and carry out revaluations where required Develop and maintain standard costing for new and existing products Conduct analysis on activity rates, work centre efficiency, and operational performance Support forecasting and annual planning cycles, using a bottom-up approach across departments Analyse production routings and associated costs Perform variance analysis on actual vs. planned production costs Contribute to cost reduction initiatives and continuous improvement projects Maintain high standards of organisation and housekeeping within your area

Experience:

Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field Minimum 3+ years' experience in a similar role, ideally within a manufacturing environment

Computer and Technology Skills:

Experience using SAP (FI, MM, CO modules preferred) Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel (data analysis, formulas, reporting)

Language Skills:

German language skills are advantageous Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organisation
