We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Senior Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate brings at least three years of hands-on tax experience, a strong command of accounting principles, and the judgment to work directly with clients with minimal oversight. This role is central to maintaining accurate financial records, preparing returns and financial statements, and ensuring compliance with federal and state requirements. Responsibilities Prepare and review individual, partnership, S-corporation, and C-corporation tax returns. Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements in accordance with GAAP. Perform monthly reconciliations of accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness. Manage client bookkeeping engagements in QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online, including cleanup and conversion work. Process payroll and related filings, ensuring compliance with applicable laws. Research tax issues and communicate findings to clients in plain language. Respond to IRS and state agency notices on behalf of clients. Support the audit process by providing necessary documentation and explanations. Mentor staff-level accountants and review their work. Collaborate with team members to improve financial processes and internal controls. Qualifications Minimum of 3 years of tax preparation experience (required). Proficiency in both QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online (required). Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field. EA, CPA, or active progress toward either (preferred). Experience with multi-entity and flow-through returns. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple client engagements and deadlines. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with comfort in direct client contact.
