Job Description
Summary/Objective:
Interacts closely with the internal departments (Shipping, Purchasing, Sales, Quality, Production and Service) to oversee the daily operations and perform financial functions, including accounts payable/receivable, expenses claims, bank reconciliations, capital expenditures, office admins and ad hoc projects as needed.Responsibilities:
- Perform daily operations of the accounting department including journal entries, bank reconciliations, cash receipts, account payables, receivables, general ledger, capital assets.
- Establish and maintain files and records to document transactions for compliance and audit purposes.
- Manage month-end and year-end closing.
- Follow accounting policies and procedures aligned with company targets.
- Preparing tax returns, payments, necessary paperwork, and reports.
- Work closely with corporate office in Germany on intercompany transactions.
- Complete various tasks/projects assigned by the Chief Financial Officer and/or the Management team.
Requirements:
- Solid knowledge of bookkeeping, accounting principles, laws, and regulations
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Experience with MS Office (specifically Excel, familiar with basic formulas, Lookups, Pivot Table)
- Ability to prioritize work.
- Manufacturing background a plus.
- SAP experience a plus.
- Associate degree in accounting / finance or higher
