Job Description

Job Summary Oldham County Country Club is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to manage the daily financial operations of our club. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing cash flow across multiple departments (golf, food & beverage, and maintenance), and ensuring high member satisfaction through precise billing and communication. Typical Job Responsibilities
  • General Ledger Management:
    Record daily financial transactions, including sales, purchases, and payments, ensuring all data is accurately categorized in QuickBooks.
  • Accounts Payable & Receivable:
    Manage vendor payments and supplier invoices. oversee membership billing, dues reconciliation, and collections.
  • Bank Reconciliations:
    Match financial records against bank and credit card statements to identify and resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Payroll Processing:
    Handle payroll functions, including wage calculations, tax deductions, and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Financial Reporting:
    Generate monthly financial statements, balance sheets, and income statements to assist management and the board in strategic decision-making.
  • Budgeting Support:
    Assist the General Manager and department heads in tracking expenses and preparing annual operating budgets.
  • Compliance & Audit Prep:
    Organize financial records for annual audits and assist clubs with tax preparation (e.g., Form 990) to maintain the club's tax-exempt status. Qualifications
  • Software Expertise:
    Proven experience using QuickBooks for small businesses or club accounting is required.
  • Experience:
    3+ years of bookkeeping or accounting clerk experience preferred.
  • Skills:
    Strong numerical proficiency, close attention to detail, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Communication:
    Ability to communicate financial information clearly to the General Manager and Board of Directors. Benefits & Perks
