Job Description
OVERVIEW
This is a confidential posting for a privately held, multi-entity professional services organization seeking a Level II Staff Accountant to lead day-to-day accounting operations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys taking ownership, solving problems, improving processes, and partnering with people across the business, not just managing debits and credits. You'll oversee accounting operations across multiple entities, lead month-end close activities, supervise one direct report, and serve as a key partner to teams throughout the organization. While maintaining strong accounting fundamentals is essential, we're equally interested in finding someone who is energized by improving processes, leveraging technology, and elevating how the accounting function supports the business. This position reports to business leadership and works closely with the team's CPA, who remains actively involved in higher-level accounting and finance matters. As a result, this role offers an uncommon opportunity to lead the accounting function while also learning from an experienced financial leader. If you're looking for a highly specialized role within a large accounting department, this probably isn't the right fit; but if you're excited by broad responsibility, variety, collaboration, and the opportunity to shape and improve how an accounting function operates across several entities, our team would be eager to hear from you.
