Job Description
Position OverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant with 3-5 years of experience to support day-to-day accounting operations and ensure accurate financial reporting. This role will play a key part in the month-end close process, reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.
Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and post journal entries and maintain the general ledgerPerform monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activitiesReconcile bank accounts, balance sheet accounts, and sub-ledgersAssist with financial statement preparation and variance analysisSupport accounts payable and accounts receivable processes as neededMaintain fixed asset schedules and record depreciationEnsure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policiesAssist with audits by preparing schedules and supporting documentationIdentify process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracyPreferred QualificationsCPA or CPA-eligible a plusExperience with ERP implementations or system upgradesBackground in a mid-sized company or public accountingSoft SkillsAnalytical thinker with strong problem-solving abilityAbility to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentTeam-oriented with a proactive, self-starter mindset
