Experience supporting aerospace or other highly regulated manufacturing environments is highly desirable. What Youll Do Manage and analyze standard costs, manufacturing costs, inventory, variances, and operational financial performance Partner closely with Operations and other functional leaders to understand how business decisions impact costs, profitability, the P&L, and balance sheet Prepare and analyze general ledger, asset, liability, capital, and other accounting entries Prepare and analyze profit & loss statements, balance sheets, management reports, and financial analyses Investigate and reconcile financial discrepancies and identify root causes Support annual budgeting, financial planning, forecasting, and performance measurement Monitor and maintain effective internal controls and accounting compliance Apply GAAP, accounting policies, and relevant cost accounting principles to business activities Analyze financial trends and provide management with information needed to make sound business decisions Recommend financial actions based on analysis of accounting and operational data Develop, improve, and document accounting policies and procedures Support continuous improvement initiatives involving accounting processes, systems, and reporting Participate in cross-functional and special project teams Identify opportunities to improve reporting and processes through automation, Excel macros, Power BI, and other technology Work directly with Operations on projects and initiatives that improve efficiency, cost management, and profitability Provide guidance and support to less experienced team members as needed

What Were Looking For Required:

Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field 2-5 years of accounting experience with significant hands-on cost accounting experience Previous experience working in a manufacturing company is required Strong understanding of manufacturing cost accounting and standard costing Understanding of how operational activity affects the P&L and balance sheet Working knowledge of GAAP Experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and variance analysis Experience with internal controls, compliance, and accounting policies/procedures Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Proficiency with automated accounting systems, Excel, and standard business applications Ability to communicate effectively with both accounting/finance teams and manufacturing/operations leaders

Highly Preferred:
