Type:

full-time A company in the technology sector is searching for a Senior Revenue Accountant to join their finance team. Working closely with the corporate and divisional finance teams, the Senior Revenue Accountant will be responsible for ensuring accurate recording of all revenue-related transactions and compliance of such transactions with revenue recognition accounting guidelines in accordance with ASC 606. The Senior Revenue Accountant will also be responsible for accounting for deferred revenue, monthly account reconciliations for deferred revenue, unbilled revenue, and accounts receivable, and for providing accurate analyses of customer and sales metrics to both Sales and Finance management.

Responsibilities:

Analyze multi-element arrangements and process daily revenue transactions in the company's ERP system. Review customer contracts and agreements to assess the appropriate accounting treatment for revenue recognition and prepare complex deal accounting packages to support compliance with ASC 606 and the company's revenue recognition policies. Enforce internal control procedures and documentation requirements related to compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley. Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations related to unbilled receivables, accounts receivable, and deferred revenue accounts. Assist with analysis to establish Standalone Selling Price for product and service offerings. Prepare quarterly reporting schedules required by Corporate Accounting for financial statement disclosures. Participate in system implementations or enhancements related to ERP and revenue automation tools. Participate in the annual audit with the external audit firm. Prepare various ad hoc reports and other special projects for management as requested. Identify opportunities to automate and streamline revenue processes and reporting.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in accounting is required CPA preferred 2-4 years of revenue accounting experience, preferably within a software or technology company Proficiency with ERP systems and revenue automation tools (e.g., NetSuite and NetSuite ARM or equivalent platforms) Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication, and systems skills Strong analytical ability and attention to detail Ability to work independently and exercise judgment Proficient in Microsoft applications including Excel and Word Strong sense of urgency and proactive thinker; high degree of ownership Flexible, organized and able to handle competing priorities

Compensation:
