Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the accounts payable workflow by examining invoices, confirming general ledger coding, coordinating approvals, and processing authorized payments through the designated expense platform.
- Create customer invoices and assist with ongoing billing operations to help ensure timely and accurate revenue processing.
- Record and monitor daily cash activity, maintaining complete and accurate documentation of incoming and outgoing transactions.
- Complete bank account reconciliations and support balance sheet reconciliation work to strengthen the accuracy of financial records.
- Contribute to the month-end close by preparing assigned entries, tracking checklist items, and helping keep closing deadlines on schedule.
- Build a working understanding of how accounting activity impacts the financial statements and support the preparation of reliable reporting.
- Provide day-to-day assistance across accounting and finance operations, stepping in where needed to support the broader team.
- Support efforts to bring more accounting processes back in-house by helping establish consistent and efficient operational workflows. Requirements
- At least 1 year of accounting experience with exposure to both accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
- Working knowledge of invoice processing, billing support, and general ledger coding practices.
- Experience using QuickBooks Online in a detail-focused setting.
- Comfort working with financial systems and related tools, including platforms such as Brex and Avalara.
- Familiarity with bank reconciliations, month-end close activities, and basic financial statement flow.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage recurring tasks with a high level of accuracy.
- Tech-savvy approach with the ability to learn systems quickly and work effectively in a changing environment.
