Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and record journal entries to ensure financial transactions are accurately reflected in the accounting system.
- Maintain the general ledger by reviewing account activity, reconciling balances, and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Support corporate tax activities, including assisting with filings, documentation, and related compliance requirements.
- Manage sales tax processes by tracking obligations, compiling supporting data, and helping ensure accurate reporting.
- Assist with the preparation of corporate tax returns by organizing financial information and coordinating required schedules.
- Oversee accounts payable tasks such as invoice review, coding, and payment processing while maintaining proper controls.
- Handle accounts receivable activities, including invoice tracking, payment application, and follow-up on outstanding balances.
- Use NetSuite to process transactions, maintain accounting records, and generate information needed for reporting and analysis. Requirements
- Experience in a Staff Accountant or similar accounting role with responsibility for core financial operations.
- Working knowledge of corporate tax, sales tax, and corporate tax return support.
- Strong understanding of journal entries, account reconciliation, and general ledger maintenance.
- Hands-on experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
- Ability to work accurately with financial data, meet deadlines, and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Solid communication and organizational skills to support cross-functional coordination and documentation needs.
