Under the supervision of the Controller, this role will support multiple phases of corporate accounting including accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory review and audits, accruals, fixed assets, and month-end close activities. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a junior accounting professional interested in gaining hands-on experience within a manufacturing environment while developing strong analytical, technical, and communication skills. Responsibilities Assist with daily bookkeeping tasks including data entry, journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance. Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure timely payments, collections, and resolution of customer inquiries. Assist with reconciling and preparing journal entries for month-end and year-end close processes. Participate in balance sheet reconciliations and maintain P&L and departmental support schedules. Assist with inventory reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and analyze perpetual inventory locations for accuracy and valuation through cycle count audits. Support fixed asset tracking, depreciation schedules, accruals, and prepaid expense accounting. Contribute to compliance efforts related to SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) controls, internal controls, and audit preparation activities. Maintain accurate payroll-related records using systems such as ADP, Paychex, or UltiPro. Identify opportunities for process improvements and assist with implementing internal control enhancements. Assist with preparation of schedules for mid-year and year-end audits. Support ad hoc analyses, reporting, and special accounting projects as needed. Collaborate cross-functionally with various departments and corporate staff while working both independently and within a team environment. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Prior accounting or finance internship experience preferred but not required. Basic understanding of accounting principles including debits & credits, double-entry bookkeeping, journal entries, and reconciliations. Familiarity with ERP manufacturing systems and accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or PeopleSoft is a plus. Knowledge of payroll systems such as Kronos or Ceridian is advantageous. Advanced Microsoft Office skills with strong proficiency in Excel. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills. Strong attention to detail with excellent data entry and math proficiency. Ability to work independently and collaboratively while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. #RJAF123
