Role:
Senior Accountant Private North Shore Company We are a well‑established, privately held North Shore company seeking a Senior Accountant to join their growing finance organization. This is a hands‑on role with broad responsibility across ERP systems, general ledger accounting, reconciliations, fixed assets, regulatory filings, and system integrations. The ideal candidate enjoys complexity, takes ownership, and thrives in a collaborative, fast‑paced environment. Responsibilities Maintain and manage GL mapping and resolve unmapped transactions across multiple subsidiaries Post Day‑1 company and acquisition‑related transactions into the ERP system Review ERP postings and ensure interim transactions are properly updated to the General Ledger Perform pricing imports Execute ACH payment collection processes for the wholesale customer base Prepare and maintain balance sheet reconciliations Review bank reconciliations prepared by the Staff Accountant Reconcile deposit accounts, including security, installation, and prebuy deposits Perform daily credit card reconciliation review and ongoing maintenance Reconcile intercompany and clearing accounts across multiple entities Prepare standard and recurring monthly journal entries per the close checklist Post ERP-generated interim and final monthly journal entries Assist with month‑end and year‑end close activities Manage fixed asset activity, including additions, disposals, reconciliations, and audit support Calculate and record propane tank installation assets Maintain enterprise vehicle lease schedules and related accounting Coordinate ASC 842 lease accounting with the external CPA firm and maintain related journal entries Support accounts payable processing and expense coding as needed Prepare and file multi‑state sales tax returns (MA, ME) for various entities Complete census and statistical filings (AIES, RECS, ESS) Prepare additional regulatory filings as required Manage Accounting exports to the General Ledger Perform related cash and revenue reviews and reconciliations Ensure accurate and complete financial data flow between operational systems and accounting Prepare year‑end audit schedules and supporting documentation, and assist during audit fieldwork Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a multi‑entity environment Strong general ledger, reconciliation, and month‑end close experience Hands‑on experience with ERP systems and system integrations Working knowledge of fixed asset accounting and lease accounting (ASC 842 preferred) Experience with sales tax filings and regulatory reporting High attention to detail with strong organizational and analytical skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Proficiency with Excel and financial systems CPA or public accounting background a plus, but not required
Pay:
$90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
