Robert Half Payroll Accountant Fall River, MA Apply Description We are looking for a skilled Payroll Accountant to join our team in Fall River, Massachusetts. This is a long-term contract position within the manufacturing industry, offering an excellent opportunity to contribute your expertise in payroll management. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in payroll processing, tax reporting, and multi-state compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring timely and accurate payroll execution.
- Utilize ADP Workforce Now to process payroll for employees across multiple states.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations, including accurate payroll tax reporting.
- Maintain and update payroll records, addressing discrepancies and resolving employee inquiries.
- Prepare and review payroll-related reports, including summaries and audit documentation.
- Monitor changes in payroll laws and regulations, implementing updates as required.
- Collaborate with HR and finance teams to ensure seamless payroll operations.
- Conduct regular audits of payroll data to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Handle any payroll adjustments, deductions, and garnishments in accordance with legal requirements. Requirements
- Proven experience with full-cycle payroll processing, preferably in a multi-state environment.
- Proficiency in using ADP Workforce Now for payroll operations.
- Strong knowledge of payroll tax regulations and reporting requirements.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in managing payroll data and reports.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to meet strict deadlines.
- Familiarity with payroll compliance laws and regulations on a federal and state level.
- Strong problem-solving skills to address payroll discrepancies and inquiries.
