Sr. Accountant

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Princeton, New Jersey. In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining financial accuracy and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. You will work closely with the Controller and finance team to support various accounting functions, including general ledger management and financial reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and analyze journal entries and accruals to maintain the general ledger.
• Assist in the creation of accurate monthly balance sheets and profit and loss statements.
• Set up and reconcile new general ledger accounts, ensuring all balance sheet accounts are properly aligned.
• Handle intercompany processes and record related ledger entries.
• Collaborate with Treasury, Accounts Payable, Billing, and Accounts Receivable teams to validate subledger balances.
• Process and reconcile invoices, ensuring payments are completed accurately and efficiently.
• Review expense reports and credit card transactions, ensuring proper documentation and account allocation.
• Develop monthly variance reports to analyze financial information and identify trends.
• Support internal and external audits by preparing required financial documentation.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Controller or VP Finance.
