full-time We are partnering with a fantastic technology firm that is targeting a experienced Staff Accountant. This individual will be responsible for timely and accurate preparation of financial accounting data in a variety of areas. It is essential that this candidate brings analytical and organizational skills in order to best support the accounting team. They have a wonderful culture and are looking to hire as soon as possible. This is a permanent, onsite position! Responsibilities Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements in compliance with GAAP. Assist with the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all deadlines are met accurately. Manage accounts receivable, accounts payable, billing, and general ledger maintenance. Perform variance analysis on income and balance sheet accounts to identify discrepancies and report findings to management. Support internal and external audits by gathering requested documentation, schedules, and financial records. Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, periodic forecasts, and financial modeling. Collaborate cross-functional teams (such as FP&A and Operations) to streamline financial workflows and resolve discrepancies. Maintain compliance with corporate accounting policies, internal controls, and SOX requirements in a tech-driven environment. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 2+ of professional accounting experience and or public experience, preferably within a fast-paced technology, software, or SaaS environment. Strong working knowledge of US GAAP and core accounting principles. Proficiency in advanced Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables) and experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems like NetSuite, Oracle, or SAP. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across departments. CPA license or active progress toward obtaining a CPA is strongly preferred.
