Job Description
Job Summary - Cost Accountant New England Wire Products, Inc. (NEWP) is a family-owned, domestic manufacturer of high-quality wire display racks and shelving solutions. For decades, we've partnered with customers across the U.S. to deliver dependable products backed by responsive, relationship-driven service. We are seeking an experienced Cost Accountant to join our manufacturing team in Leominster, MA. This is a hands-on role for a detail-oriented accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced production environment and has a strong command of cost accounting principles and SAP inventory practices. Responsibilities - Cost Accountant Analyze and report on both domestic and import inventory valuation, cycle counts, and physical inventory processes within SAP Perform month-end close activities including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis Monitor and report on inventory valuation, cycle counts, and physical inventory processes within SAP Partner with operations and supply chain teams to identify cost-saving opportunities and drive process improvements Prepare and present cost analysis reports to senior management Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and standard cost updates Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls related to inventory and cost accounting Assist with internal and external audits as needed Requirements - Qualifications 6-8 years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment Hands-on experience with SAP inventory and cost accounting modules Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field CPA or CMA designation a plus Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel Solid understanding of GAAP and standard costing methodologies Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and collaborate cross-functionally Join us as a Manufacturing Cost Accountant if you're passionate about leveraging your accounting expertise to enhance operational performance while working in a vibrant environment that values precision, innovation, and continuous growth!
