Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Sr. Accountant to join a scientific instrument manufacturing organization in Leominster, Massachusetts on a Contract basis. This role will support critical accounting operations by managing period-end activities, preparing financial entries, and helping maintain accurate consolidated reporting. The ideal candidate brings strong general ledger expertise and a sharp eye for reconciliations, accruals, and intercompany accounting.

Responsibilities:

Lead monthly closing activities to help ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
Prepare and post journal entries while maintaining supporting documentation and accounting accuracy
Record and review accruals to reflect expenses and liabilities in the proper reporting period
Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate variances or discrepancies as they arise
Manage intercompany accounting activity and confirm balances are properly recorded across entities
Support global consolidation processes to produce complete and reliable financial results
Partner with internal stakeholders to resolve accounting issues and improve reporting consistency
