Part-time Staff Accountant AvCarb Material Solutions Lowell, MA Job Details Part-time $31,200 - $45,000 a year 6 hours ago Qualifications Teamwork Interpersonal skills Account analysis GAAP Epicor ERP Organizational skills Excel data analysis Full Job Description AvCarb Material Solutions located in Lowell, MA develops and manufactures engineered carbon-based products for electrochemical hydrogen and energy storage applications, including advanced gas diffusion layers (GDLs), molded graphite laminates, woven carbon fabrics and carbon felts. Overview The successful candidate will partner with the Director of Finance and will play a key role in processing of revenue, expenses and costs, payroll and all other general accounting transactions. Strong accounting proficiency and effective collaboration with clear communication skills are crucial for success in this role. Position Responsibilities Code AP invoices, sets up new accounts, reconciles accounts, and closes the month. Invoices customers, records payments, reconciles customer accounts and partners with the sales team for accounts receivable credit approvals and collections. Preparation and/or oversight of Annual 1099's in coordination with Accounts Payable. Reconciles bank accounts, verifies deposits, and addresses inquiries from banks. Responsible for processing bi-weekly payroll in line with all compliance areas. Assists with the monthly, quarterly, and annual close in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Standards (GAAP), including the preparation of journal entries, analysis of results and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts. Support development and implementation of Finance policies and procedures. Support of annual audits. Cash forecasting Requirements Accounting degree, 5+ years related experience, or equivalent combination or equivalent work experience Proficiency with MS Products, Epicor and other applicable software Advanced Excel skills including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs Exceptional documentation, organization, verbal and written communication skills Ability to work independently and self-motivate

$31,200.00 - $45,000.00 per year
