Job Description

POSITION PURPOSE
Primarily responsible for the accounting operations of the company, to include month-end reporting, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, maintain cash accounts and reconciliations, manage as well as prepare payroll on a weekly basis.
Role Qualifications:
Must be able to work independently and multi-task several daily tasks with ad hoc reporting.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures Responsible for month-end reconciliations including but not limited to fixed assets, prepaid items, accruals, payroll and regular/OT reporting Responsible for cash management including daily cash applications, check runs, ACH/wire payments as well as bank rec preparation Process vendor invoices which includes posting activity to the correct accounts and matching purchase orders with purchase receipts and reconciling variances Responsible for collecting vendor W-9's, recording them in the system and mailing 1099's at year-end Process weekly payroll including managing accurate pay rates in the system, deductions, 401K contributions as well as 401K loan repayments Responsible for weekly labor and metric reporting Prepare and send order backlog reporting to the sales team on a bi-weekly basis Assist in the preparation of information requested during the interim and year-end audit process Comply with local, state and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings, including sales tax Serve as backup when needed for the processing of AR, credit card processing and time management Assist with ad hoc projects as needed
QUALIFICATION STANDARDS
Experience:
A bachelor's degree in accounting, or business administration, or equivalent business experience Microsoft Office proficiency a must ERP/MRP experience highly desired Cost accounting experience a plus Experience in Manufacturing sector a plus Ability to handle high-pressure situations while maintaining a positive attitude Strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills Strong Organizational skills The above is intended to describe the general content of and requirements for the performance of this job. $75,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
