Staff Accountant

Schedule:
Monday-Friday Schulte Staffing is seeking a Staff Accountant for an established manufacturing organization. This is a hands-on accounting position supporting general accounting, month-end close, inventory reconciliation, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate has a strong accounting foundation, excellent Excel skills, and an interest in gaining broader exposure to manufacturing and cost accounting . Key Responsibilities Support day-to-day accounting functions including AP, AR, accruals, fixed assets, depreciation, and prepaid expenses Prepare and reconcile journal entries for month-end and year-end close Assist with balance sheet and P&L account maintenance Support accounts receivable and respond to customer account inquiries Perform inventory reconciliations and investigate discrepancies Review inventory accuracy and valuation Perform and analyze cycle count audits Assist with financial reporting and departmental accounting needs Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls Prepare schedules and supporting documentation for mid-year and year-end audits Assist with special projects and financial analysis as needed The position provides exposure across corporate accounting while also working closely with inventory and manufacturing-related accounting. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field General accounting experience, including journal entries and account reconciliations Strong Microsoft Excel skills Experience working with ERP systems Manufacturing accounting and/or inventory accounting experience preferred Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work independently while collaborating across departments Advanced degree or accounting certification is a plus The client's formal requirements include a bachelor's degree and strong ERP/manufacturing-system and Excel skills.
Compensation:
$65,000
  • 75,000 annually, based on experience This is a strong opportunity for an accountant looking to expand their experience beyond traditional AP/AR and gain hands-on exposure to inventory, cost accounting, month-end close, and manufacturing operations .
