About the Opportunity A growing, privately held manufacturing company in Halethorpe, MD is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join its close-knit accounting team. Compensation Package:

Senior Accountant Job Responsibilities:
Maintain and oversee all general ledger accounts, including revenue, cost of goods sold, operating expenses, and balance sheet items Supervise the Accounts Payable Specialist to ensure timely, accurate processing of invoices with proper documentation and approvals Reconcile bank accounts and corporate credit cards Prepare and maintain detailed balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules Assist in the monthly preparation of GAAP-compliant financial statements Identify and implement process improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and internal controls Collaborate cross-functionally to improve financial reporting and operational processes
Senior Accountant Skills & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field (preferred, not required) 5+ years of general accounting experience in a manufacturing environment Expertise in job costing and cost allocation, including overhead Strong working knowledge of Sage 100 Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office suite Demonstrated experience working within or leading a small, collaborative team Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills #
