full-time My client is seeking a Senior Accountant with experience in the energy, real estate or public accounting industries to assist with their day-to-day accounting and finance operations in their Washington, DC office. The ideal person for the Senior Accountant position will assist with financial reporting, producing consolidated financial statements, reconciling balance sheet accounts, preparing monthly financial reports, posting the appropriate journal entries and have an overall understanding of ASC principles and accounting under US GAAP standards. Daily responsibilities of the Senior Accountant include: Assist with monthly financial reporting. Consolidate financial statements. Prepare appropriate journal entries. Reconcile various balance sheet accounts. Ensure accounting is in compliance with US GAAP. The ideal Senior Accountant we seek must have the following qualifications for consideration: Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance. 3+ years of relevant accounting experience. Experience within energy, real estate or public accounting, preferred. Knowledge of financial reporting and consolidations. CPA, a plus.
