In this role, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting various financial processes across the organization. Your expertise in bookkeeping, financial software, and accounting principles will be vital in helping us achieve operational excellence and financial transparency. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where your skills directly contribute to our success. Responsibilities Perform daily bookkeeping tasks including data entry, journal entries, and double-entry bookkeeping to ensure accurate recording of all financial transactions. Reconcile accounts such as the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and balance sheets regularly to maintain data integrity. Manage payroll processing using software like ADP, Paychex, Kronos, or UltiPro, ensuring timely and accurate employee payments. Prepare financial statements and reports in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and other relevant standards. Conduct account analysis and account reconciliation to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly. Assist with budgeting, tax preparation, and compliance activities related to governmental accounting or non-profit accounting as needed. Support internal controls and compliance efforts related to SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) requirements and other regulatory standards. Utilize various accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, PeopleSoft, Ceridian, or similar platforms to streamline financial operations. Collaborate with external auditors during audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations of financial data. Skills Strong knowledge of accounting concepts including debits & credits, journal entries, and general ledger reconciliation. Experience with multiple accounting software packages such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, Workday, Ceridian, ADP, Kronos or UltiPro. Familiarity with payroll management systems like Paychex or ADP is highly desirable. Understanding of GAAP standards along with governmental or non-profit accounting practices. Ability to perform detailed account analysis and balance sheet reconciliation efficiently. Excellent data entry skills with high accuracy (10 key typing proficiency). Solid understanding of financial concepts including budgeting, credit analysis, and financial acumen. Experience working in public accounting or within a corporate finance environment is preferred. Strong math skills combined with analytical thinking to interpret complex financial data accurately.
