full-time About the Company A growing and well-established real estate organization in the Baltimore area is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its corporate accounting team. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and wants exposure to property accounting, financial reporting, and business operations. About the Role The Senior Accountant will be responsible for corporate accounting activities, including financial reporting, month-end and year-end close processes, and supporting budgeting and forecasting, while collaborating with property management and operations teams. Responsibilities Prepare monthly financial statements and account reconciliations Assist with month-end and year-end close processes Analyze financial results and investigate variances Maintain general ledger and ensure accuracy of accounting records Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow reporting Coordinate with property management and operations teams on financial matters Assist with audit, tax, and lender reporting requirements Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance 3+ years of accounting experience Public accounting experience preferred Real estate, property management, construction, or related industry experience is a plus Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP/accounting systems CPA or CPA-track candidates are encouraged to apply Required Skills Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting Advanced Excel skills Experience with ERP/accounting systems Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Strong analytical and variance analysis skills Attention to detail and accuracy in accounting records Preferred Skills Public accounting experience Real estate, property management, construction, or related industry experience CPA or CPA-track Equal Opportunity Statement The job description does not include an equal opportunity statement.
