An Accountant organizes and maintains financial records and prepares financial statements for companies and organizations. Works as a public accountant (prepares financial documents where public disclosure is required by law, such as business balance sheets and tax returns), management accountant (prepares financial information for internal use by a company) or government accountant (maintains records for government agencies).
Senior Accountant Compensation $90,000 to $100,000 USD up to 10% annual bonus Benefits & Growth Comprehensive health, PTO, and benefits package Exposure to advanced analytics, reporting, and AI‑driven initiatives (including Power BI) Clear career progression path as the accounting and finance team continues to scale Opportunity to partner closely with senior leadership on modernization initiatives Why This Opportunity Stands Out Direct, hands-on role in transforming and modernizing the accounting function High visibility with finance leadership and meaningful influence over processes and systems Fast-growing, fourth‑generation, family‑owned organization targeting significant expansion Culture that values innovation, curiosity, flexibility, accountability, and long-term internal mobility Key Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant Lead the design, preparation, and continuous improvement of balance sheet and income statement reconciliations across multiple business lines Play a key role in month-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, and financial statement accuracy Drive process optimization and implement best practices to support scalable, timely, and accurate reporting Support revenue, WIP, AR, and expense accounting activities, ensuring proper classification and compliance Collaborate closely with finance leadership on strategic initiatives, systems enhancements, and use of technology Assist with budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and audit or financial statement review processes Operate independently on special projects and ad-hoc analysis with minimal oversight Must-Have Skills & Experience (Required) 3 to 7 years of progressive accounting experience Strong hands-on experience with account reconciliations and month-end close Demonstrated success improving or redesigning accounting processes High level of technical aptitude with the ability to quickly learn new systems and tools Advanced Excel skills and comfort working in data-driven environments Curiosity and readiness to work with modern analytics tools (Power BI, AI-enabled reporting) Preferred Background Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance CPA or MBA a plus Experience working in multi-entity or project-based environments Familiarity with ERP systems (Sage or similar platforms preferred) Salesforce a plus! #LI-BK1 #
