Detail-oriented and comfortable owning the full accounting lifecycle
Experienced in government contracting environments and compliant accounting practices
Organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities without losing accuracy
Confident mentoring junior accounting staff and collaborating cross-functionally

Plan and direct day-to-day accounting activities while ensuring compliance with GAAP, Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)
Manage accounts payable and receivable, reconcile bank and credit card accounts, monitor daily cash balances, and support monthly close activities
Assist with audits, government contract reporting, and budget preparation, while maintaining accurate records for employees, vendors, and fixed assets
Support multiple entities across the organization, handling accounting activities tailored to each business unit
Mentor accounting staff and support leadership with financial insights and projections Must Haves
Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance (or equivalent relevant experience)
Minimum of 3 years of related professional accounting experience
Strong working knowledge of GAAP
Experience with payroll processing systems
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Experience performing full-charge bookkeeping, including: Accounts payable and receivable, bank and credit card reconciliations, journal entries and account reconciliations, and payroll processing and timecard review
Ability to prepare and support audit schedules
Experience maintaining accounting records, fixed assets, and depreciation schedules Nice to Haves
Experience with government contracting and familiarity with FAR and CAS
Experience with 401(k) and profit-sharing contributions and 5500 audit support
