This position requires an individual who thrives amidst the complexities of trade subcontracting and project lifecycles. What You'll Own Your daily rhythm involves orchestrating the full cycle of construction-specific accounting tasks to keep projects on track. You will architect precise job cost reports and navigate the complexities of progress billings to ensure steady cash flow. Direct the preparation of comprehensive AIA documents and lien waiver compliance. Strengthen project profitability by analyzing variances and monitoring labor burdens. Spearhead the development of Work-in-Progress (WIP) schedules and revenue recognition. Anchor the accounts receivable process by tracking retainage and managing aging reports. Orchestrate monthly closing procedures and reconcile intricate general ledger accounts. Navigate union reporting requirements and support internal audits with organized documentation. You should possess the technical acumen to master industry-standard ERP systems and sophisticated spreadsheet analysis. A dedicated background in construction accounting or electrical subcontracting.
