Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized, detail oriented Senior Accountant to join our team at our corporate office in Silver Spring, MD. The ideal candidate will oversee full-cycle accounting, financial reporting, and collaborate with both site teams and accounting staff. Limited regional travel may be required.

Your Responsibilities:

Oversee the monthly close for a portfolio of properties

• journal entries, accruals, financial review, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.

Support the annual budget and year-end audit process. Provide quarterly financial reporting to lenders. Ensure annual tax and insurance payments are paid timely. Enter monthly intercompany JE's. Respond to financial inquiries from internal and external stakeholders in a timely manner. Review collections with outside attorneys. Assists in the development and implementation of accounting policies, procedures and internal controls. Do research and/or gather data for departmental projects. Performs other duties as assigned.

What you offer:

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business or related field preferred. 4-6+ years of accounting experience

• multifamily/residential preferred (or equivalent of education and experience).

Working knowledge of GAAP required. Proficiency with ERP systems and knowledge of RealPage or Yardi preferred. Intermediate Excel skills and Microsoft 365. Excellent oral and written communication.
