Role Overview:
Cost Accountant We are seeking a proactive Cost Accountant to partner with local operations and manage our financial reporting. In this role, you will analyze financial data, own the standard costing system, and drive the month-end close process under US-GAAP and SOX compliance.
Location:
Taneytown, MD 21787Work Schedule:
Mon to Fri, 8 am- 5pm•Hourly rate: 31$•39$ per hour•
Contract:
W2 contract under staffing supplier, with 6-month duration (possible conversion according to performance) Key Qualifications Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance and over 4+ years of experience in corporate finance. Expertise with US-GAAP.and SOX procedures.
Key Responsibilities Month-End Close:
Prepare journal entries, process accruals, and reconcile general ledger/Balance Sheet accounts (via Blackline) under US-GAAP .
Costing & Analysis:
Manage the standard costing system and perform sales and margin analysis.
Compliance:
Adhere to all SOX procedures and Corporate Accounting Policies.
Operational Support:
Partner directly with local operations and support neighboring facilities as needed.
Collaboration:
