Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Prepare individual and business tax filings accurately and on schedule throughout the year.
- Contribute to audit engagements for clients such as local governments, educational institutions, and nonprofit organizations across the Midcoast area.
- Travel to client sites as needed to assist with fieldwork, testing, and documentation during audit assignments.
- Support the preparation and review of financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
- Analyze accounting records and supporting schedules to identify discrepancies, ensure accuracy, and maintain compliance.
- Work closely with senior team members and clients to gather information, clarify financial data, and resolve audit or tax-related questions.
- Apply GAAP principles and firm methodologies when completing audit and tax-related assignments.
