Job Description

The Senior Accountant will assist the Controller and wider Finance team by meeting shared goals, deadlines, and ensuring Agency financials are complete, accurate and prepared in accordance with
US GAAP. DUTIES
Preparation of month end journal entries. Perform month end reconciliations of balance sheet and revenue/expense accounts as assigned. Preparation of various financial and statistical excel spreadsheets, as necessary. Timely preparation of grant deliverables and other monthly, quarterly and annual reports. Complete invoicing for various grants/contracts/programs as assigned. Assist Controller with updating Finance policies when needed and refining/simplifying Finance business processes on an ongoing basis. Compliance with internal control policies and procedures. Completion of cost reporting and ratesetting as assigned. Assist with audits of the year-end financial statements and audits by third-party funding agencies.
QUALIFICATIONS
A minimum of four years' experience in a field related to administration of finances and financial accountability. A Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting or Business Administration or Associate Degree with equivalent experience is required.
