Job DescriptionJob DescriptionSenior Accountant - Winthrop, MEJob Overview We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our Winthrop, ME office. The ideal candidate should be able to work independently, prepare a variety of income tax returns, handle tax projections, research and resolve tax-related issues, prepare financial statements, and provide excellent client service. This is an in-person position requiring strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership abilities. Key Responsibilities Prepare individual, corporate, partnership, and other various tax returns. Develop and maintain strong client relationships. Prepare business and individual tax projections. Research, evaluate, and resolve tax issues. Prepare and review financial statements. Assist junior staff with tax and accounting-related questions. Collaborate with other departments and offices during the off-season. Ensure accuracy, compliance, and high-quality client service. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Minimum 3 years of public accounting experience focused on tax preparation. CPA preferred; candidates actively pursuing CPA licensure are encouraged to apply. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word. Excellent communication, analytical, and leadership skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. Minimal travel may be required for local client visits and support to nearby offices.
