Cost Accountant |Allendale, MI Salary Range:
$68,000 - $102,000 depending on experience Are you a dynamic leader with a passion for analyzing costs and driving financial efficiency? If there is alignment now or in the near future, we reach out. The Opportunity We are working with companies in Allendale that are adding Cost Accountants to their teams. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain standard product costs. Analyze manufacturing variances and provide insights for cost reduction. Prepare detailed cost reports and present findings to management. Conduct make-or-buy analysis and support capital expenditure justifications. Participate in inventory valuation and reconcile physical inventory counts. Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes, focusing on cost-related elements. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance cost accounting efficiency. Recommended Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 3+ years of cost accounting experience within a manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory valuation methods. Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
