  • Birmingham, Michigan.
Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining financial records, performing general ledger reconciliations, and ensuring accuracy in all accounting tasks. If you have a strong background in accounting principles and enjoy working in a dynamic environment, we would love to hear from you.
Duties:
  • Conduct general ledger reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data
  • Manage accounts payable processes, including processing invoices and payments
  • Perform account reconciliations to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly
  • Utilize 10 key typing skills for efficient data entry and analysis
  • Apply knowledge of GAAP principles to maintain compliance in financial reporting
  • Assist with technical accounting tasks as needed
  • Support corporate accounting functions by preparing financial reports and statements
  • Conduct detailed account analysis to provide insights for decision-making
Skills:
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel/ Quick Books
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
  • Excellent 10 key typing skills for accurate data entry
  • Ability to perform general ledger reconciliations effectively
  • Experience with account reconciliation processes
  • Knowledge of GAAP standards and regulations
  • Familiarity with technical accounting concepts
  • Previous experience as an accounting clerk or similar role is a plus
  • Strong background in corporate accounting practices
