Job Summary Todd's Services, Inc. (TSI) is seeking an Accounting Associate to support the accounting department with loan and fixed asset recordkeeping, interim financial statement preparation, and monthly bank reconciliations. This role requires a solid accounting foundation and close attention to detail to ensure loan and depreciation records are accurately maintained in QuickBooks and that company bank and credit accounts are reconciled timely and accurately each month. The Accounting Associate will work closely with the accounting and HR teams and may also assist with payroll processing coverage as needed. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Maintain accurate loan documentation and enter and update loan transactions and schedules in QuickBooks (QB) Enterprise. Prepare and maintain depreciation schedules and supporting documentation for company fixed assets. Assist the accounting team with preparation of interim (monthly/quarterly) financial statements. Perform the monthly bank reconciliation for TSI, including reconciliation of Visa (credit card) and ACH transactions. Research and resolve reconciliation discrepancies in a timely manner, escalating issues as needed. Maintain organized, audit-ready supporting documentation for loans, fixed assets, and bank reconciliations. Support month-end and interim close activities as assigned by the Controller/Accounting Manager. Assist with ADP payroll processing to provide coverage during staff absences or peak/overflow periods (as needed). Perform other accounting duties and special projects as assigned. Required Qualifications (Must-Have) Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on accounting experience. Working knowledge of loan documentation and depreciation accounting concepts. Demonstrated experience entering and tracking loans within QuickBooks. General accounting background sufficient to assist with preparation of interim financial statements. Experience performing bank reconciliations, including reconciling Visa/credit card and ACH transactions. Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and comfortable learning company accounting systems. Ability to handle confidential financial information with discretion. Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Have) Experience with ADP payroll processing systems. Willingness and ability to assist with payroll processing during overflow periods or staff coverage needs. Work Environment & Physical Demands Primarily an office environment. Regularly required to sit for extended periods and use a computer; occasional local travel between TSI locations (Hamburg, Traverse City, and Indian River, MI) may be required.
Pay:
$52,000.00 - $62,000.00 per year
