If there is alignment now or in the near future, we reach out. The Opportunity We are collaborating with multiple companies in Kalamazoo seeking experienced Staff Accountants. Key Responsibilities Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. Reconcile general ledger accounts, bank statements, and intercompany transactions monthly. Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Support the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including vendor and customer reconciliations. Analyze manufacturing costs, variances, and production data to provide insights and support decision-making. Participate in the month-end and year-end close processes, adhering to established deadlines. Assist with internal and external audits by providing requested documentation and explanations. Recommended Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., ERP systems) Experience with inventory costing and analysis Bonus Qualifications Additional certifications or training Job Titles That Should Apply Staff Accountant, Senior Accountant, Junior Accountant, General Accountant, Financial Accountant, Cost Accountant, Accounting Specialist, Bookkeeper, Assistant Controller, Accounting Associate Why The Pivot Group Network The Pivot Group Network was founded by manufacturing professionals who've been on both sides of the hiring process.
