If there is alignment now or in the near future, we reach out. The Opportunity We collaborate with manufacturing companies in the Kentwood region seeking Staff Accountants. Key Responsibilities Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP. Reconcile general ledger accounts, including bank statements, accounts receivable, and accounts payable. Assist in the month-end and year-end close processes, including preparing accruals and journal entries. Analyze manufacturing costs, including labor, material, and overhead variances. Support external audits by providing requested documentation and explanations. Process accounts payable invoices and ensure timely vendor payments. Maintain fixed asset records and calculate depreciation. Recommended Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance 2+ years of experience in a Staff Accountant role, preferably in manufacturing Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) Solid understanding of GAAP and financial reporting Experience with inventory costing and analysis Bonus Qualifications Additional certifications or training Job Titles That Should Apply Staff Accountant, Accountant, Junior Accountant, General Accountant, Financial Accountant, Accounting Specialist, Bookkeeper, Assistant Accountant, Cost Accountant, Treasury Accountant Why The Pivot Group Network The Pivot Group Network was founded by manufacturing professionals who've been on both sides of the hiring process.
