Job Description

Our client is looking for a Budget Accountant to lead financial planning and budget oversight for a service-focused organization. This role is responsible for shaping annual and departmental budgeting activities, monitoring financial performance, and helping leaders make informed spending decisions. The ideal candidate brings strong experience in budget administration, operating budget development, and accounts receivable processes, along with the ability to improve accuracy and accountability across financial operations.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead the preparation and coordination of the annual operating budget, ensuring timelines, assumptions, and financial targets are clearly defined.
  • Oversee department-level budget development and provide guidance to managers on forecasting, spending priorities, and cost control.
  • Analyze budget performance regularly, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions to maintain financial stability.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to evaluate funding needs, support planning decisions, and align budgets with organizational goals.
  • Maintain and refine budget processes to improve consistency, reporting accuracy, and overall financial transparency.
  • Monitor accounts receivable activity and collaborate with relevant teams to support cash flow management and timely collections.
  • Prepare detailed budget reports, summaries, and financial presentations for leadership review and strategic planning.
  • Ensure budget management practices comply with internal policies and support effective stewardship of financial resources.
