Overview The General Accountant acts as point of contact between the different parts of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and external parties, such as vendors, clients, or lenders. They may handle bookkeeping, assist in preparing financial reports, taxes, audits, and resolving discrepancies. The ideal candidate is highly skilled, detail-oriented and excels at multitasking. The General Accountant should also be analytical, collaborative, and trustworthy Responsibilities Accounts Receivable (A/R) invoices (Parts, Field Service & Equipment Orders) Follow up on past-due customer invoices and collections Reconcile outstanding receivables with the sales team Support month-end close activities Prepare journal entries Perform account reconciliations Support audits and documentation requests Assist with financial projects Partner with other departments to monitor spending and improve financial awareness Qualifications Technical Skills Accounts Receivable and collections Journal entries General Ledger analysis Account reconciliations Month-end close Audit support Advanced Excel Microsoft Office Suite Soft Skills Attention to detail Multitasking Strong communication skills Problem solving Time management Ability to work independently Collaboration across departments Adaptability in a fast-paced environment Preferred Education Bachelor's degree in accounting, or business is preferred with a minimum 3 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a manufacturing environment. A combination of education and experience in accounting is also acceptable.

Pay:

$45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
