Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to join our finance team. This role owns the full accounts receivable and accounts payable cycle — from invoicing and collections to vendor payments and reconciliation. You'll work in a collaborative environment that values accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvement, with opportunities to cross-train in payroll and purchasing. Responsibilities Accounts Receivable Prepare and send customer invoices using accounting software Monitor AR aging reports and follow up on overdue accounts through professional communication and negotiation Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure accuracy of transactions and balances Process payments received via check, electronic transfer, and credit card Maintain detailed records of collections activities and client correspondence Collaborate with sales and customer service to resolve billing discrepancies Accounts Payable Manage the full AP process including invoice processing, payment scheduling, and vendor relations Conduct analysis of AP data to identify discrepancies or inefficiencies and drive process improvements General Assist with month-end close procedures including general ledger reconciliation Willingness to cross-train in payroll and purchasing as needed Skills & Qualifications Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Stone Profit Systems, or similar platforms Strong understanding of debits & credits, journal entries, double-entry bookkeeping, and account reconciliation Solid grasp of AR/AP management principles and financial analysis Excellent data entry accuracy and attention to detail Strong analytical and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple priorities under deadlines Effective communication and negotiation skills for collections and vendor interactions Professional phone and written communication skills Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment Experience with AI tools in a finance context is a plus Education & Experience Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred 5+ years of experience in a similar accounting role Compensation & Benefits $59,000-$68,000 annually, based on experience Health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) Monday-Thursday 8AM-5PM | Friday 8AM-12PM with remote option
