If there is alignment now or in the near future, we reach out. The Opportunity We are collaborating with multiple companies in Mattawan seeking experienced Staff Accountants. Key Responsibilities Reconcile general ledger accounts, including bank statements and inventory. Process accounts payable invoices and prepare vendor payments. Assist with month-end and year-end close procedures, including journal entries and accruals. Analyze manufacturing costs and variances, providing insights to management. Prepare and file various tax forms, such as sales and use tax returns. Maintain accurate fixed asset records and calculate depreciation. Support external audits by providing requested documentation and explanations. Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Recommended Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance 2-4 years of experience in general ledger accounting Experience with an ERP system (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) Strong understanding of GAAP Experience in a manufacturing environment Bonus Qualifications Experience with an ERP system like SAP or Oracle Familiarity with Six Sigma or Lean manufacturing principles CMA or CPA candidate Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) Experience with inventory costing methodologies (e.g., standard costing, FIFO) Job Titles That Should Apply Staff Accountant, Junior Accountant, General Accountant, Accounting Assistant, Financial Accountant, Cost Accountant, Tax Accountant, Assistant Accountant, Accountant, Entry-Level Accountant Why The Pivot Group Network The Pivot Group Network was founded by manufacturing professionals who've been on both sides of the hiring process.
