We strive to give back to the communities where we live and work. Stash Ventures LLC is looking for a diligent senior staff accountant to join our accounting department. A senior staff accountant is responsible for managing the accounting operations of the company's accounting department, reconciling accounts, and finalizing financial reports to discuss with the management. Senior staff accountants resolve account discrepancies, analyze the company's financial status, and verify financial transactions. They must have excellent analytical skills and extensive knowledge of the accounting principles to perform accounting duties that would minimize the financial risk of the company. A senior staff accountant provides strategic recommendations to prevent overspending and increase efficiency across all departments to drive more revenue and profits.
Essential Responsibilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Prepare accurate financial statements, which include reconciliation of accounts, calculating accruals and researching discrepancies.

Reviewing, analyzing, and reconciling general ledger accounts and banking transactions in conjunction with preparing monthly reports for managementMaintaining financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts.

Preparing journal entries, analyses, and account reconciliations and assisting with monthly closing processes.

Contributing to the development and review of annual operating budgets and performance projections.

Maintaining documentation for accounts payable, purchasing, and treasury and conducting internal audits.

Work as a primary accounting contact for monthly expenses and purchase accruals; maintain relationships with inter-departmental purchasers.

Performing monthly balance sheet reconciliations.

Meeting processing and reporting deadlines.

Responding to information requests, reviewing financial statements, and assisting with audits.

Ensuring compliance with GAAP.Managing weekly checks/ACH's and recording all checks/ACH's into accounting software programs.

Assist with preparation for annual audits.

Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities): Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or Business-related field is required.

Three to Five years of general accounting experience required.

Three to Five years of experience working with accounts receivable and accounts payable required.

Strong computer aptitude, including expertise with Microsoft Excel and Word as well as applicable accounting software.

Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial data.

Working knowledge of Metrc, Quickbooks and Leaflink is preferred.

Cannabis and manufacturing accounting experience is preferred.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Good oral and written communication skills.

Highly organized and detailed oriented a must.
