Northville, MI Position Summary This position will function to support the Accounting & Finance department. Position Responsibilities The incumbent is expected to perform the following functions that the company has determined are essential to this position. Responsibilities include various activities in the areas of Accounting and Finance for various AISIN companies. These include daily, monthly, or quarterly activities such as but not limited to: Month end & quarter end close activities Journal entry preparation & posting Account reconciliation & analysis Financial reporting & analysis General ledger posting and account reconciliation Assist with quarterly review and year-end financial audit Daily cash & monthly bank account reconciliations Accounts payable invoice entry, validation, payments and research Accounts receivable manual invoice creation Travel & entertainment expense reporting management and auditing Reporting (internal & external) Fixed asset accounting & audit support Inter-company accounts payable and accounts receivable analysis Perform related party inter-company reconciliations, analysis and confirmations Insurance & tax support Kaizen improvement activities Other tasks and duties as assigned
Required Skills and Abilities Essential Skills and Experience:
0-2 years of experience in Accounting or Finance Ability to communicate effectively Ability to understand standard accounting systems Ability to understand and be able to perform research Proficiency in MS office Ability to pay strict attention to details, effectively communicate with stakeholders and to organize and complete tasks on time. Excellent written and oral language skills Beneficial Skills and Experience Oracle Fusion experience Understanding of
US GAAP/IFRS
Education/Training/Certifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting from an accredited university required.
Requirements:
Travel Requirements Approximately 5 %. Must be willing and available to travel to such locations and with such frequency as is necessary and desirable to meet business needs. Work Environment Requirements With reasonable accommodation: Must be able to operate a personal computer, telephone, and other office equipment. Must be able to operate as an effective team member. Must be committed to a high standard of safety and be willing and able to comply with all safety laws and all company safety policies. Attendance/Work Hour Requirements Must maintain an acceptable attendance record. Must be willing and available to work weekends and holidays as necessary and desirable to meet business needs.
