Staff Accountant |Norton Shores, MI Salary Range:

If there is alignment now or in the near future, we reach out. The Opportunity We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Norton Shores that are seeking skilled Staff Accountants. These organizations are dedicated to maintaining high standards and are looking for professionals who can contribute effectively. By joining our network, you position yourself for opportunities aligned with your career goals. Key Responsibilities Reconcile general ledger accounts, including bank statements and inventory. Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring accurate and timely payments and collections. Assist with month-end and year-end close procedures, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations. Prepare and analyze financial reports, such as variance analysis and cost reports. Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations. Maintain fixed asset records and calculate depreciation. Recommended Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance 2+ years of experience in a Staff Accountant role, preferably in manufacturing Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) Experience with inventory costing and analysis in a manufacturing environment Bonus Qualifications Experience with an ERP system beyond basic data entry (e.g., system configuration, report building, or module integration). Exposure to cost accounting principles in a manufacturing environment (e.g., variance analysis, standard costing). Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) for financial reporting and analysis. Demonstrated ability to identify process improvements and implement automated solutions (e.g., advanced Excel macros, basic scripting).
