If there is alignment now or in the near future, we reach out. The Opportunity We partner with manufacturers across Otsego seeking Staff Accountants who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit. Key Responsibilities Reconcile general ledger accounts, including bank statements and various balance sheet accounts. Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting principles. Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including accruals and reconciliations. Support inventory costing and analysis, including variance explanations and cycle count reconciliation. Prepare and analyze financial reports, such as expense reports and production cost summaries. Assist with internal and external audits by providing requested documentation and explanations. Maintain fixed asset records, including additions, disposals, and depreciation calculations. Recommended Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance 2+ years of experience in a Staff Accountant role, preferably in manufacturing Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., ERP systems) Experience with inventory accounting and cost accounting principles Bonus Qualifications Additional certifications or training Job Titles That Should Apply Staff Accountant, Junior Accountant, General Accountant, Accounting Assistant, Financial Accountant, Cost Accountant, Treasury Accountant, Forensic Accountant, Tax Accountant, Compliance Accountant Why The Pivot Group Network The Pivot Group Network was founded by manufacturing professionals who've been on both sides of the hiring process.
