If there is alignment now or in the near future, we reach out. The Opportunity We collaborate with manufacturing companies in the St. Johns region seeking Cost Accountants. These employers partner with us because they want real insight into candidates-not just resumes. By joining our network, you gain access to roles worth considering. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain standard product costs. Analyze manufacturing variances (e.g., material, labor, overhead) and provide detailed explanations. Prepare cost of goods sold (COGS) and inventory valuations for financial reporting. Conduct make-or-buy analysis and provide recommendations. Assist in the annual budgeting and forecasting processes, focusing on cost components. Identify cost reduction opportunities and support their implementation. Reconcile inventory counts to the general ledger. Recommended Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 3+ years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory valuation methods. Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills. Ability to analyze complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
