Senior Accountant

A great UHY client is seeking a Senior Accountant to support core accounting operations within a collaborative, team-oriented environment. This role will play a key part in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting general ledger activity, and assisting with grant-related accounting in a purpose-driven setting focused on community impact. The Senior Accountant role is a hybrid position based in West Bloomfield, MI, requiring approximately two days per week onsite. This is a permanent, direct-hire opportunity offering strong work-life balance and a supportive team environment. Senior Accountant Responsibilities Support general ledger activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations Assist with month-end close and financial reporting processes Support grant accounting activities and related reporting Perform account analysis and resolve discrepancies Maintain accurate financial records and documentation Collaborate with internal teams to support overall accounting operations Assist with ad hoc projects and process improvements as needed Senior Accountant Requirements Non-profit accounting experience Exposure to grant accounting Strong general ledger and reconciliation experience Experience with cloud-based ERP systems (Sage Intacct or similar preferred) Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment UHY Advisors' Resource Solutions Group provides clients with accomplished professionals to support finance, accounting, internal audit and tax teams.
